Creating a supplier's guide listing is a 2-step process. First you need to create an account, then you can create a listing. Make sure you follow ALL the steps below.
Creating a Supplier Account
Step 1: If you haven't done so already, create a SUPPLIER account:
From almost any page at the site, click the 'Create a New Account' link on the Sign In form. Choose a user name you want others to know you by - DO NOT use your email address as your user name!
Important: be sure to click the 'Supplier' button in the 'Member / Supplier' section of the sign-up form. You cannot change this later. If you already have an account, contact us to ask an administrator to change your account status for you.
Step 2: Log in and Activate your account using the instructions that the website will email to you. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not see the confirmation message within a few minutes, and make sure future messages sent to you do not end up in your spam folder.
Step 3: When you log into your account for the first time to set your password, be aware that all information listed is about YOU - not your company. You can upload a picture of yourself if you like, but any information shown in your account section will have nothing to do with your supplier's guide listing.
Creating your Supplier's Guide listing
Step 1: You will find a link titled: 'Add Content' on the 'Getting Around' menu at the bottom-right corner of any page. Click this link to see the kinds of content you are entitled to create. Click the link to 'Create Supplier's Guide Listing.' Shortcut: Click here
Step 2: Fill out your company name, address, website, and a complete description of your company that you want visitors to see. You should upload your logo as well - there is no additional charge for logo listings. Maximum size for a logo is 100px wide x 140px high. Larger images will be scaled down, images over 1Mb in size will be rejected. Animated images will not function after upload.
Step 3 - Select categories: Place a check in the box beside all the categories in which your company offers services or products. If you feel a category needs to be added, please tell us.
Step 4 - Notification of Expiration: Suppliers Guide listings expire in two years. If you would like to receive an automatic notification before your listing expires, make sure the notification of expiration is set to 'enabled'. (recommended)
Step 5: Save. Your listing will be placed in a shopping cart for purchase. Review your cart and click 'Checkout.'
Step 6: If you have a coupon code, enter that code in the appropriate field and click 'Add Coupon' to apply any specials or discounts you may have been offered.
Step 7: Fill in your name and address. We know, nothing is being shipped. Still, it's a shopping cart and the software really wants an address. Click 'Continue to Next Step.'
Step 8: If you DO NOT HAVE a balance to pay, click 'Use Coupon' as your payment source.
All balances due are currently handled by PayPal. You may pay with your PayPal account or a credit card. You do not need a PayPal account to check out. Click 'Continue to Next Step.'
Follow directions given by PayPal. Suppliers listings may take up to one day to appear at the site.
Editing your Supplier's Guide listing
Whenever you are signed in and visit your on-line listing, you will see a tab at the top of the page that says 'Edit'. Only YOU will see this tab - it will not be presented to any other visitor. Click the 'edit' tab and revise your content at any time, you will not be charged for making changes.
